English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are offered in the fall and spring semesters to adults who live and/or work in Richardson and the surrounding North Texas communities. RALC’s ESL for Adults program offers beginning to advanced class levels where students learn to read, write, speak and understand English. Classes are offered in person and online. Online classes incorporate digital literacy into the curriculum, teaching students to utilize remote work, email, and presentation tools.

- All NEW students must attend an in-person registration event where they will complete an English language assessment to determine their recommended class level.
- Each registration date can only accomodate 80 new students to provide quality service. First come, first served. Arrive promptly at 6pm.
- RALC classes are FREE, however, there is a $35 registration fee for each semester. This fee helps RALC continue to provide materials for classes.
- These classes are for ADULTS ONLY. RALC does not provide childcare.
- Most RALC English classes meet in-person two times a week on Tuesday & Thursday evenings from 6:00pm - 8:00pm.
- The RALC Spring 2025 Semester lasts 15 weeks beginning on January 27th and ending on May 15th. There are no classes during Spring Break: March 10th-14th.

For advanced students who have studied English for three years or more (or who place at a high intermediate/advanced level at assessment), RALC offers advanced levels of English classes online on Monday and Wednesday.
