Richardson Adult Literacy Center
In addition to the leveled-ESL classes, the Richardson Adult Literacy Center (RALC) offers supplementary classes to support student learning of the English language. The ancillary classes are free and no registration is required, meaning students can begin anytime! Please email literacy@ralc.org to receive the current class schedule.
English Conversation Classes are available to those wanting to practice their speaking and listening skills. A facilitator will lead students through the discussion material. Both beginner and intermediate/advanced conversation classes are available year-round. Classes meet for 1-hour each week.
ESL Book Club is for upper level students who want to improve their English language acquisition skills through group reading. The Book Club facilitator will lead students through pre and post reading exercises such as vocabulary review and reading comprehension exercises, as well as taking turns reading the text aloud during the 1-hour session each week.
