English as a Second Language (ESL) for Adults

English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are offered in the fall and spring semesters to adults who live or work in Richardson and the surrounding North Texas communities. RALC’s ESL for Adults program offers beginning to advanced class levels where students learn to read, write, speak and understand English. Online classes incorporate digital literacy into the curriculum, teaching students to utilize remote work, email, and presentation tools. Due to the great number of parents in our ESL programs, the curriculum also incorporates family literacy, with lessons on school and family-related topics.

  • Students must schedule and take a written and oral assessment with RALC staff before enrolling in ESL Classes for Adults.  We enroll new students prior to the beginning of the fall and spring semesters after determining their placement level. Interested students can complete the online sign up form to be contacted about upcoming assessment and registration dates.
